Kimpton Fitzroy London

A 19th-century beauty meets the London of today: that’s what you’ll find at Kimpton Fitzroy London Hotel. From the outside, the landmark building, which occupies a full block along the eastern side of Russell Square in Bloomsbury, looks every bit the part of grande dame. Inside, though, contemporary interiors beckon the discerning traveler to settle in and stay a while — Negroni (or two) in hand.

Grand Ballroom

✦ Matched space

The Grand Ballroom commands attention with its neoclassical detailing, pale walls and marble-effect columns topped with gilded capitals. Tall arched windows flood the room with natural light, whilst a coffered gilded ceiling and sculpted caryatids form an ornate architectural centrepiece. A patterned carpet anchors the grand proportions. The room has a built-in PA system and ceiling speakers, permitting external DJs and your own music, alongside Wi-Fi and air conditioning. A clear central space works as a dancefloor and can be arranged with dining tables and chairs for formal banquets or polished receptions. Staff are attentive and helpful throughout events.
