Off the main foyer on the ground floor, the Brunel Room has high ceilings, tall west-facing windows, dark French walnut panelling, embellished plasterwork and a large chandelier. It takes up to 100 theatre-style or for a reception and 80 for a seated dinner, adjoins the Smeaton and Council rooms, and is licensed for civil ceremonies.
