Pushkin House

Pushkin House is the UK's oldest independent Russian cultural centre, housed in a Grade II listed building on Bloomsbury Square. A Registered Charity, it hosts lectures, exhibitions, films, concerts, readings and its celebrated annual Book Prize. The venue balances cultural and historical character with modern facilities across fully renovated rooms equipped for conferences, receptions with piano recitals, seminars and performances. It is closed during Bank Holidays.

Pushkin Bar is flooded with natural daylight through a large arched street-facing window. The room has white-painted walls, high ceilings and period cornice moulding topped by a small brass chandelier. A low partition divides a compact seating area of simple timber tables and chairs from a bottle-lined counter. A PA system with speakers, Wi-Fi and a staffed bar counter are included, and guests may play their own music. The space suits small social groups for conversational seated gatherings or casual standing mingles.

Pale grey tones and a red carpet provide the interior finish, with daylight entering through a deep-set sash window.
