Whole Venue
A compact early 17th-century royal house defined by classical symmetry and formal colonnades. The pale, classically proportioned mansion features a regular sash-window façade and balustraded roofline. Inside, a sequence of high-ceilinged gallery rooms with painted plaster finishes and tall windows display maritime and portrait paintings from the National Maritime Museum collection. Hard-floored spaces suit exhibitions and installations. The Tulip Staircase, an early cantilevered spiral stair, provides a singular architectural focus within the house's interior. On-site facilities include a gift shop, Wi-Fi, accessible toilets and level access for wheelchairs. External entertainment is permitted under event terms, including bring-your-own DJ. Suited to small, cultured groups seeking a quiet, formal gallery setting for seated presentations or standing receptions.
